The Port Elgin and Saugeen Beachers Association

Privacy Policy effective as of June 22, 2018

The Beachers has historically collected names, addresses (both cottage and home), phone numbers, email addresses and information on close relatives in case of emergency or lack of computer access. Beachers member privacy is important and this personal information has and will remain confidential and will not be shared.

This personal information has been and is being used to compile a members directory (previously printed now located on the web site accessible by member log in) and to email newsletters and communication notices to members. In the future the web site will be used to conduct member polling on relevant issues. The overall immediate results of polling a given issue will be known to the Beacher board of directors only and will be communicated to members via the newsletters. Members individual polling choices will not be shared nor made public. Members will be notified if, when and how summary results of polls are to be used to further the organization’s goals. ie. share with town council, media etc.

The Beachers uses MailChimp email service to communicate with the member list. The Beachers does not share, sell nor distribute member information.

Members can modify their personal information or unsubscribe from the mailing list by providing email notice at Enable JavaScript to view protected content. and / or by using the unsubscribe and profile update links in the newsletter emails.

New and existing members in good standing are automatically opted in and can opt out of future communications by using the links at the bottom of the newsletter.

The Beachers will notify members of Privacy Policy changes by putting a Privacy Policy Change Notice on the homepage. Updated information can be accessed by clicking on the Privacy Policy link at the bottom of each page.
